Newspapers, most tabloid format, folded at middle. A selection of early Bukowski appearances in various underground newspapers. Comprises: Renaissance: A Bi-monthly Magazine of the Arts, May-June No.1. Open City, [1966]. Renaissance: A Magazine of the Arts, Issue edited by Bukowski. Unnumbered/dated Open City, [1960's]. (3 copies). Two copies signed by Editor John Bryan, one additionally inscibed by him: "11/24/06 - Dear Ross, This section edited by Bukowski sent me to jail. John Bryan." Los Angeles Free Press. Vol. 4, No. 9. March 3, 1967. (2 copies). National Underground Review Nos. 1 & 2. Both issues featuring Bukowski's Notes from a Dirty Old Man.
