Large Blackfoot Beaded Buffalo Hide Knife Sheath and Double-edged Dag Knife, c. 1870s, the sheath beaded on one side with two panels of linear and cross devices separated by a lightning device, the strap with large brass beads and a toggle made from two ends of a silk ribbon spool, with red pigment overall, the dag knife made from a large file, with the wood handle wrapped with brass wire and decorated with brass tacks, (old wire repair, a later piece of cardboard inserted for a liner), lg. of knife sheath 24 3/4, lg. of dag 15 in.
