Engraved equestrian portrait of the Infante (later Charles III of Spain) and one large folding panorama, both by and after Giuseppe Vasi 22 plates by Niccolò Palma, Giuseppe Cigotti and others after Antonio Bova, Giuseppe Vasi and others, the majority folding. (Four plates torn with loss at fold, occasional light spotting.) Contemporary green half morocco, spine gilt with red morocco lettering-piece (corners bumped). Provenance : Biblioteca Privata Real (blindstamp, with Bourbon arms, at foot of title). A rare feste book recording the celebrations in Palermo after the coronation of the Infante. The Infante's claim to the title King of the Two-Sicilies was confirmed by the treaty of Vienna in 1735. The present work marks the celebrations in Palermo after his coronation. Vasi's panoramic view of the cavalcade from the harbour to the city is particularly fine, and is an early example of his work and one of the last before his move to Rome in the same year.
