Luilliers ( evtl. L'Huilier?) Namen ausgekratzt, aber noch schwach leserlich. - Gereinigt u. verstärkt, noch fleckig bzw. angestaubt. Geplatzter Bug, einige tlw. große Randeinrisse bis in das Bild sowie einige Bruchstellen restauriert; rundum bis in die Einfassung beschnitten, angerändert u. nachgezeichnet. Rare map with decorative borders of armorial shields. First publ. in 1732, here with changed date and Luillier's name erased (though still legible). From a series of the continents designed by L. for Danet and separately publ. , Tooley mentions only America and Africa. Featuring small part of "Terre de Comapagnie", and a huge peninsula "Terre de Kamtschatka ou d'Yesso", Australia is omitted. - Col. in full. Washed and strengthened, still spotted and dusty. Restorations to centerfold separation, to some large tears and to some cracks affecting image; cut into neatline, false margins added and neatline supplied in mss.
