Minimalist in form and execution, the large body of the unglazed white porcelain is slightly matt. Through its curved and flat surfaces, the platter becomes a conduit for a harmonic interplay of light and shadow. Much sought after domestically, and highly regarded internationally, Kuroda’s works are esteemed by the likes of fashion designer Miyake Issey as well as the architect Ando Tadao
