KITAGAWA UTAMARO (1753-1806), UTAGAWA HIROSHIGE (1797-1858), UTAGAWA TOYOKUNI III (1786-1865) AND TOYOHARA KUNICHIKA (1835-1900)Edo period (1615-1868), early to mid 19th century Four oban prints: the first a tate-e by Utamaro, the right sheet from a triptych titled Yukun ne-no hi komatsuhiki-no zu (Courtesans Gathering Pine-Branches for the First Rat Day of New Year Celebrations); the second a yoko-e by Hiroshige of Yushima Shokintei (Shokintei Restaurant, Yushima) from the series Edo komei kaitei zukushi (Famous Restaurants of Edo): the third and fourth tate-e kabuki actor prints by Toyokuni III and Kunichika respectively; together with a facsimile of Harima from the series Rokujuyoshu meisho zue (Famous Places in the 60-Odd provinces) after Hiroshige; all variously published, variously signed; all framed and glazed except for the last. The smallest: 22cm x 33.7cm (8 5/8in x 13¼in); the largest: 37.5cm x 24.5cm (14¾in x 9¾in). (5).
