Benson, a teacher at the English High School in Boston, Bateman's, Burwash, Sussex, 20 February 1922, one page, 4to, on his printed stationery, slight browning to edges , thanking Benson for his letter, informing him that to avoid the expense¢of mailing a copy of the English edition, he has instructed his American publishers to send Benson a copy of Captains Courageous , and enclosing an autograph to insert in it. [ With :] Printed document accomplished in manuscript, a deed of sale for one-eighth share of the schooner "We're Here", signed Frederick W. Choate and George Merrill, [Gloucester, Mass.] 8 January 1862, 3 pages, folio, on pale blue paper, printed and manuscript docket on verso of second leaf, minor fold breaks , two wood-engraved vignettes. The "We're Here" was the Gloucester schooner that figured in Kipling's Captains Courageous .
