Publisher’s cream cloth pictorially embossed and decorated in gilt, edges uncut (cover edges toned). LIMITED EDITION, number 305 of 1470 copies SIGNED BY KENT. –– Voyaging Southward from the Straight of Magellan. New York and London: G. P. Putnam’s Sons and Knickerbocker Press, 1924. 4to. Numerous wood engravings and maps by Kent. Publisher’s light tan cloth pictorially stamped in black, top edge gilt, decorative map endpapers. Provenance: William A. Kittredge (bookplate and presentation inscription). FIRST TRADE EDITION, PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION FROM KENT: “To Bill Kittredge. His friend Rockwell Kent”. Kittredge was director of design and topography for Lakeside Press from 1922 to 1945, producing the “Four American Books” including Rockwell Kent’s Moby Dick. ––Together, 2 works in 2 volumes, BOTH SIGNED, condition generally very good.
