Inscribed at the bottom: "N.B. Pencil signature not to be reproduced" -- Original copper plate for the bookplate -- 26 proofs (and two photo reproduction) of the bookplate. Various sizes -- 4 large signed proofs -- Typed letter signed from Kent to James F. Drake, discussing the bookplate and sending along a preliminary sketch for Hite's bookplate [sketch not included]. 4 January 1936. One page, 4to, on Kent's letterhead stationary -- 2 pp. carbon typescript of notes from Hite? to Drake differing with some of Kent's suggestions. Np, nd. 2 pages, 4to -- Typed letter signed from Pynson Printers discussing sending proofs on vellum of the two sizes of the Hite bookplate. 23 April 1936.
