Together 2 pages, 4to, both on Kennedy's Senate stationery. Two thoughtful letters detailing Kennedy's policy on Social Security: "I have long felt the need for revision of the Social Security Act...I have co-sponsored a bill which would provide for a thorough revision of this Act amd the elimination of some of its outstanding inequities...I shall support legislation presently before the Congress which, although not sufficiently extensive to meet fully the inadequacies of the present law, is a step in the right direction of increased benefits, extension of coverage, and more equitable eligibility requirements including liberalization of the retirement test. It is my attention...to seek amendments to further strengthen this legislation which is so vital..."' Together two items.
