Probably Guler, Northern India, mid-19th century. 28 gouache drawings (c.95 x c.160mm) on paper (120 x 190mm), rectos only, every drawing heightened with gold, most with a scrolling foliate border against a navy blue ground, and all against a pink ground; interleaved with paper guards, two of these with manuscript in purple ink probably in a later hand. Modern pasteboard binding covered in paper reproducing an early hand-printed pattern.
