Kaffeeservice "Kurland" für 6 Personen — KPM Berlin, 20. Jh. — 29 Teile, bestehend aus Kaffeekanne mit Deckel (H. 22 cm), Zuckerdose mit Deckel (H. 11 cm), Sahnegießer (H. 9,5 cm), Blattschale (L. 24 cm), Königskuchenplatte (L. 33 cm), 6 Tassen (H. 7 cm), 6 Untertassen (Ø 15 cm), 6 Kuchenteller (Ø 20 cm), 6 Konfektschalen (Ø 9 cm). "Kurländer Muster": unter dem Rand Reliefdekor eines Tuchgehänges zwischen Perlband und Eierstab auf mintgrünem Fond, die Stäbe goldstaffiert, Dekor aus farbig gemalten, von Insekten umflogenen Blumengebinden. Porzellan. Am Boden unterglasurblaue Zeptermarke, rotbraune Reichsapfelmarke sowie Maler- bzw. Dekornummern. - Das Service trägt den Namen seines Auftraggebers, Peter von Biron, Herzog von Kurland. // German Porcelain Coffee Service for 6 Persons, model ''Kurland'' — KPM Berlin, 20th c. 29 pieces, consisting of coffee pot with lid (h. 22 cm), sugar bowl with lid (h. 11 cm), cream pourer (h. 9,5 cm), leaf bowl (l. 24 cm), king cake plate (l. 33 cm), 6 cups (h. 7 cm), 6 saucers (Ø 15 cm), 6 cake plates (Ø 20 cm), 6 confectionary bowls (Ø 9 cm). ''Kurländer Muster'': under the rim relief decoration of a cloth hanging between a pearl ribbon and an egg stick on a mint green background, the sticks decorated with gold, decoration of colourfully painted flower arrangements surrounded by insects. Porcelain. On the bottom underglaze blue sceptre mark, reddish brown imperial orb mark and painter's or decor numbers. - From the catalogue of the manufactory: ''The service bears the name of its patron, Peter von Biron, Duke of Courland, one of the richest men in Europe at his time, who also owned a considerable art collection. English silver served as the design model for the service's characteristic cloth hangings and egg bar relief.
