First complete edition of the Bible in Hawaiian, with the second edition of the New Testament in Hawaiian, the first having been printed in 1835. The translation of the Bible was a massive undertaking which was completed during a ten-year period by Lorrin Andrews, Artemas Bishop, Hiram Bingham, Sheldon Dibble, Asa Thurston, Ephraim W.
