Portfolio of plates: 2 leaves with [3] pp. of text (title page and explanation of the plates). Plus, complete set of 27 color plates. All on loose leaves, measuring 31.5x23.5 cm (12½x9¼") and housed in the original cloth portfolio with paper label on front. First Edition. An important study of this uniquely Hawaiian craft. Brigham was the first director of the Bishop Museum and the most important Hawaiian ethnologist from this period. Six large samples of Kapa Cloth included.
