Jonson (Ben) The Workes..., 2 parts in 1 vol., second collected edition, engraved architectural title and portrait frontispiece (both laid down), woodcut initials and head-pieces, light marginal browning or soiling, modern antique-style panelled calf, [Greg 1073; STC 14753], folio, Richard Bishop 1640. ⁂ The first edition to be published with the portrait. The portrait was originally published separately some time between 1622 and 1627 with two different imprints. These were later erased and traces of them can just be seen below the verse. As with all of the collected editions from this period, a second volume was printed separately.
