Letterpress title printed in red, blue and black, additional tinted lithographic title and 39 views on 31 sheets, each with letterpress description, 1p. Birch's 'Advertisement' at beginning, 2pp. publisher's ads at end printed in blue. (Faint spots on printed title, light mainly marginal spotting, stronger on additional title.) Contemporary green half morocco, lettered in gilt on upper cover (somewhat worn).

'[Jones] was responsible, together with Joseph Bonomi for the design of the Egyptian court at the Crystal Palace, and in 1863 he was commissioned to design a palace in Cairo for Ismail Pasha' (Blackmer). Blackmer 888; not in Atabey, Abbey or Tooley.
