V cracked, head of spine of vol. I and ends of spine of vol. V chipped, title of vol. III torn, some slight browning. Rothschild 1221. An attractive, unsophisticated copy. "The bookseller Thomas Osborne purchased the Harleian collection of printed books for #13,000 and commissioned Johnson and William Oldys to prepare a complete catalogue....Michael Maittaire, possibly with Johnson's help, prepared a plan and class system for the catalogue and also wrote the Latin dedication to Lord Carteret.
