John Windsor five cards, all stamp marked Windsor , one with gilt embossed and pierced paperlace, embossed couple sitting under curtains, with blue silk ribbon attached to paperlace, lifting to reveal gilt cupids and silk medallion; another similar, but without double paperlace, with paper seals, backed with yellow paper, card opens to reveal a beautiful lady and verse Yes, as time with wing of pleasure/Glides softly over you and me,/I'll strive to be to thee a treasure,/.... - 4¾ X 7in. 12 X 18cm. ; another with cameo-embossed and pierced paperlace, double lace centre, centre of fabric, metallic trims and ribbon, below To my Valentine , lace centre stamp marked Lamour - 7 X 9¼in. 18 X 24cm. ; a mechanical card, of a father holding his baby, pulling tab, drops baby from his arms, verse Would you be surprised to Know?/That it does not belong to you/ ; the other semi-mechanical, a couple sitting together, the lady's face hidden by a mask, lifting to reveal a very ugly lady, verse Remove thy mask, I thee implore,/That thy charms may now behold,/Nor in suspense still keep me more/While I my secret love unfold - both 3¾ X 5½in. 9 X 14cm. ; and two other cards, both unmarked, probably Windsor (7)
