Nominally .30 caliber (probably .297/250 Rook - this cannot be determined without a chamber casting). 27" octagonal barrel with matted top flat. SN: 1027. Blued and color casehardened finish, checkered pistol-gripped stock, checkered forend with horn tip. Single shot, side lever, tip down small game and varmint rifle. Upper left angled flat marked at breech "JOHN RIGBY & CO" with the right upper flat marked "DUBLIN & LONDON". Serial number on triggerguard. Equipped with a two-leaf rear sight and dovetailed blade front sight. Condition: Very good. Barrel with minute traces of blue and mostly pleasing plum patina with some surface oxidation and freckles of discoloration and light surface roughness. Butt plate with heavier oxidation and some roughness. Frame with traces of case color. Markings clear, mechanically functional. Bore very good, with strong rifling and moderate oxidation. Wood with scattered bumps, dings and marks and fairly sharp checkering.
