Oil on panel, the portraits possibly painted at the time of their wedding which took place in 1814, 22 x 15 3/4 in., in period molded giltwood frames. Condition: Good, stable craquelure. Note: According to History of the Early Settlement of Bridgewater [Massachusetts] in Plymouth County by Nahum Mitchell, published by Edward Alden, Bridgewater, Massachusetts, 1897, p. 259, Samuel Pratt Newhall, brother of William (who came from Charlestown, Massachusetts) married Lydia Singer of Salem [Massachusetts], on March 26, 1814. They had one child, Rebecca Turner, b. August 5, 1816.
