Signed by John Adams as President (1797-1801), and Timothy Pickering as Secretary of State. Framed and glazed in early birdseye maple frame. Note affixed to paper backing re: docketing on verso of document. Condition: Expected folds and scuffing, small holes along folds that do not detract. Recently conserved (Oct. 2008) and reframed with acid free rag backing in original frame.
