Jean-Pierre Huaud A very fine 18 carat gold and enamel watch case with later added verge watch Signed Huaud le puisné fecit, circa 1680, the movement signed Jaspr. Smith, London, No. 90, circa 1740 With gilt finished verge movement, engraved and pierced cock, engraved foot, chain fusée, the later added white enamel dial with Roman numerals, decoratively pierced gilt hands, gold bezel and pendant of contemporary date with the dial, the case with painted polychrome enamel landscape vignettes to the border framed by scrolling foliage and ribbon knots in yellow on blue ground, the reverse with a painted polychrome enamel scene depicting Bacchus and Ceres, the interior with a fisherman in a classical landscape, signed on case and on movement 36 mm. diam.
