Jashne Farhang va Honar (Celebration of Art and Culture), exhibition poster [Iran, dated Aban 2536 (March 1978)] single sheet, depicting a Pahlavi crown against an elaborately decorated and intricate geometric design, the title set against the outline of some ancient monuments and the name of the exhibition in a fine nasta'liq script, lightly cockled, overall excellent condition, 680 by 470 mm.; framed and glazed Interestingly, this poster uses the Imperial Persian Calendar instead of the Muslim Shamsi calendar, presumably a conscious decision by the crown to endorse patriotism and unity at a politically divided time.
