Small leperello album with portraits and some landscape views of Japan. 1886 and earlier. 50 hand-colored albumen prints. Each circa 14 x 9,5 cm and 9,5 x 14 cm. Mounted to album boards, bound together as leporello in silk album (rubbed and some torn threads). Includes extraordinarily attractive and unusual portraits of women and several rare landscapes with an early view of Yokohama. – Some faded in edges, a few with scratches/surface abrasions, otherwise in very good condition with fine coloring.
