Frontispiece-portrait by Léopold Flameng on paper. FINE CONTEMPORARY BINDING BY FRANCISQUE CUZIN, FINISHED BY LéON MAILLARD, signed by both on turn-ins: gold-tooled blue morocco, septuple fillet round sides, spine tooled and lettered in compartments, floral border on beige doublures, gilt edges. Provenance : Léon Rattier (bookplate, 1922 Paris sale, lot 2024) -- René Descamps-Scrive (bookplate, his 1935 sale, part II, lot 435) -- Maurice Escoffier (bookplate). Limited edition of 200 paper copies and FOUR COPIES ON VELLUM. Two autograph letters signed by Janin have been inserted in this copy (one loosely).
