FIRST AND ONLY EDITION, 44 hand-colored engraved plates, 5 folding, of plants, plant parts, lichen, one of butterflies and scarabs, by Jakob Adams, probably after the drawings of the various contributors, woodcut title vignettes, head- and tail-pieces. Like its successor, Jacquin's Collectanea , this semi-periodical publication contains articles by Jacquin and his friends and colleagues, the most important being probably Franz Xavier Von Wulfen's Plantae rariories Carinthiacae in vol. II. Similarly to the Plesch copy and unlike the Hunt copy, the text paper of this copy is unwatermarked, and the plates are printed on paper watermarked with a shield with fleur-de-lys, countermarked C. & J.
