J. & L. Lobmeyr Islamic Style Gilt and Enameled Glass Vase Circa 1880 Of urn form, with applied handles, in colorless and translucent amber colored glass, decorated with two bands containing calligraphic verses and stylized foliate medallions, arabesques, scrolling tendrils and blossoms, in red, white, green, yellow and cobalt enamel and gilt. Height 18 1/2 inches. C
appears to be in good condition; no apparent rim chips, hairlines, fleabites, scratching, abrasions, etc.; no apparent evidence of repair or restoration to either handle; the interior is nice and clean; no apparent losses to the enameled decoration; wear to gilding, notably, at the bottom area of each handle; it seems the worn area just noted may be enhanced with gold overpaint; there are other minor areas of wear to the gilding, appropriate to age, usage and handling; signed in white enamel on the underside with the J. & L. L. company logo
