A very fine, rare and large platinum limited edition split seconds chronograph wristwatch with glazed back Signed IWC Schaffhausen, Chronograph Rattrapante, Portugieser model, No. 212/250, Ref. 3712, case no. 2817870, circa 2000 Cal. 76240 gilt-finished lever movement, 27 jewels, the silvered matte dial with applied white gold Arabic numerals, two sunk subsidiary dials indicating 30 minutes register and constant seconds, in large circular case with downturned lugs, glazed display back secured by four screws, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through three round buttons in the band, platinum IWC buckle, case, dial and movement signed 42 mm. diam.
