Rome, Giovanni Giacomo De' Rossi, Etching, x 20,2 cm, laid paper with watermark (Heawood: 1116), signed in the plate at bottom margin "Gio Bened Castilione In P" (trimmed to platemark, vague horizontal folding line at centre). Hinged on paper mount by upper edges. One of Castiglione's large-size etchings emphasizing a dramatic moment in Roman mythology. Good impression of third and final state. Ref.
