The present copy is complete with the final leaves containing the Index (often lacking) and belongs to the issue bearing the place and date of printing on the title-page. The second work is a very rare schoolbook edited by the outstanding philologist and editor of Greek classics Joachim Camerarius. It includes a collection of short Greek texts extracted from Theognis, Phytagoras, Simonides and Callimachus. Provenance: ownership inscription barely legible, but dated '28 Aug. 1559' on recto of front free endpaper; engraved ex-libris of Pope Pius VI (1717-1799) on front pastedown. Literature: I.
