IRON AGE CELTIC DRAGONESQUE BROOCH COLLECTION 1st century BC-1st century AD A mixed group of cast bronze dragonesque brooches comprising: one with point detail to the body, pin intact; one with comma-scroll head and tail, pin intact; an East Brigantian type with raised lentoid panel to the body; one with central motif of four enamelled squares and enamelled extensions along the body; one with shallow curved body bearing three elliptical enamelled cells and triangular extensions, pin present; one with deeply curved body, five enamelled panels to the body, pin present; one similar, very small with raised bosses to the body, no pin; supplied in a display case. 277 grams including case, brooches: 32-60 mm (1 1/4 - 2 1/4").
