Lot of 2. A real photo postcard of an American Indian scout, Paul Geydelkon, on horseback photographed by Gottlieb Photo and Art Co., Ruidoso, NM and a 5.5 x 3.5 in. photograph of an American Indian man on horse back titled in the negative Indian Mail Carrier. Paul Geydelkon was an Apache Indian scout and private. The photograph claims in the negative he was a scout at the time of the capture of Geronimo. There are some enlistment records for Geydlekon on May 1, 1891 for the 12th Infantry, Indian Co, I. At the time, he was 29 years old, old most likely worked as a scout prior to that date. At the time of Geronimo's capture he would have been 26 years old, a viable age for the scout. He was at Fort Sill after 1894 and, according to one account, could not speak English (The American Legion Monthly [Volume 1, No. 6, December 1926]). Condition: Both are in good condition with minor toning and light soiling.
