INCLUDES LETTER WRITTEN FROM BALIUAG DAYS BEFORE AMERICANS CAPTURED IT (PHILIPPINE-AMERICAN WAR.) AGUINALDO, EMILIO. Two items Signed, "EAguinaldo," as President: Autograph Letter, to Commanding General of Southern Luzón Baldomero Aguinaldo * Ink and red pencil drawing, map of battleground at Manila Bay. The letter, a memorandum, in Spanish, ordering plans for an attack on Pateros and elsewhere with General Pío del Pilar including the deployment of decoys at Guadalupe and elsewhere, ordering trenches to be built in Parañaque and elsewhere, ordering that special care be taken concerning the telegraph wire project, ordering the collection of spent shell casings in disguise as women if necessary, ordering weekly progress reports, ordering an edict to begin planting certain crops and forbidding their removal from the territory, ordering the fortification of the town of Silara[?] since that was Spain's target in the last revolution, advising not to attack at Laguna if it is truly under enemy control, ordering the urgent delivery of the $44,790 entrusted to General Trías, and ordering Mauser handguns with ammunition and dynamite and gunpowder to be sent to Baliuag. 4 pages, small 4to, written on a folded sheet; faint scattered foxing, horizontal folds. The drawing, map showing the roads and canals of Las Piñas and surroundings with indications of proposed trenches along the Zapote River and elsewhere, with holograph labels and instructions ("guerrillas that take the enemy flank, with horsemen who approach once the line has come under fire"), in Spanish. 2 pages, 12 1/4x8 1/2 inches, written on recto and verso of a single sheet; faint scattered foxing, folds.
