Verso in polished wood with inset fold out strut stand. The frame displaying a large official gelatin silver print bust portrait of Tsar Nicholas II mounted on a card with embossed mark of BOISSONNAS ET EGGLER. The upper margin with dedicatory inscription in the hand of Tsar Nicholas "To Prince Vladimir Nikolayevich Orlov," and on the central lower border inscribed Nicholas and dated 1906-1911. The frame hallmarked St. Petersburg 1908-1917, Cyrillic maker's mark FABERGÉ and workmaster initials of Karl Gustav Hjalmar Armfelt (ЯА) and 88 silver standard. 15.75 inches x 12.25 inches (40 x 31 cm).
