Five original illustrations , each in ink, watercolor and pencil, four of the five variously signed and with Pearse's monogram, a few dated "03," some annotations to versos, each approximately 21 3/4 x 10 1/4 inches (55 x 26.5 cm) but one slightly smaller. Some creases and small losses to extremities and corners, one drawing split and with several tape repairs to verso. Each of these five charming illustrations feature several active children marching as a band, ice skating, collecting fruit, playing atop a hill, and carrying a young girl draped in flowers. The 1903 date of these drawings precedes Pearse's first book hence these drawings are likely unpublished. C
