Illuminated on vellum, 153 leaves + 7 medieval flyleaves (with early calligraphic writing and notations), gatherings mostly of 8 leaves, lacking some leaves (including some miniatures), written in brown ink in gothic textura, rubrics in red, two-line initials in burnished gold on mostly blue ground, one-line initials in blue or gold with red or blue penwork decorations, 10 four-line decorated initials in red or blue on gold ground with branchwork and floral ornamentation, 10 pages with full or three-quarter borders decorated in red, blue, green and gold, 3 FULL-PAGE MINIATURES, WITH FULL BORDERS. 112 x 80mm., fifteenth-century French brown calf over wooden boards decorated in blind, backstrip lacking, covers and flyleaves detached, lacks clasps (brass fittings present); some marginal soiling and wear (a few marginal tears), some rubbing to miniatures and borders.
