[Illuminated Leaf] Decorated vellum leaf of a Latin Book of Hours or Missal. [France, Bourges?, ca. Expertly written in brown and blue ink (writing area x 7,5 cm). In very good condition. Two- and one-line initials in blue and gold. Top margin and 1 side margin decorated with red, green and blue flowers on a gold and brown background. Bottom margin with a nice "African" or "Indian" scene between golden pillars, showing a monkey riding a two-legged dinosaur-like animal with a log striped tail and pointed ears. The text corresponds to the Matins of the Office for the Dead notably to the use of Bourges.
