IBRAHIM IBN AHMAD IBN MUHAMMAD IBN ZAKARIYYA AL-ANDALUSI: KITAB AL-'IZZ WA AL-MANAFI' LIL MUJAHIDIN FI SABIL ALLAH BI-ALAT AL-HURUB WA AL-MADAFI' Tunis, 15 Dhu'l Qa'da AH 1050/26 February 1641 AD and Sousse AH 1232/1817 AD On heavy artillery and the science of siege warfare, 143ff. as numbered, the 17th century text comprising 41ff. with 29ll. of sepia maghribi , titles in red and green, 20 folios with sepia diagrams within the text, some full page, the remaining text pages in a later hand, some also with diagrams, f.74a with a colophon signed by the scribe "Muhammad Khuja ibn Ahmad al-Mutarjim ibn Qasim ibn Ahmad ibn al-Faqih Qasim al-Andalusi on 15 Dhu'l Qa'da 1050 in the city of Tunis from the original copy of the translation made by his father", final folio of second work with colophon signed by Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Muhammad ibn 'Umar al-Fawwal al-Andalusi al-Susi and dated 1232 in the city of Sousse, some water damage and staining, in 19th century brown morocco binding with flap Folio 12¼ x 8¾in. (31.7 x 22.2cm.)
