This lot and the following lot, while separated by seven years, share many striking similarities. The product being advertised is construction cement, used on the roofs of buildings. Andersen, whose style could be archly modernist (see Swann Modernist Poster Auction #2006, lot 62) here utilizes a hyper-realistic image of modern architecture. It is a lifeless and motionless still life in which the white surface of the roof attracts the viewer's eye, separating the sky from the structure.
