Collation: A-O 8 . 15 full-page metalcuts, 37 small illustrations, 14 foliate and floral borders, all finely hand-coloured and heightened with gold, initials illuminated in gold, red and blue, half-page partly hand-coloured rebus on final page, a1 r blank, almanac for 1517-27, 23 lines within gilt border, ruled in red, title and colophon on O8 r . (Occasional small loss to paint, some leaves slightly soiled.) 19th-century red straight-grained morocco, covers with centre- and cornerpieces of small foliate tools with blind roll-tool border, spine in gilt and blind (scuffed), g.e. Provenance : N. Bernard, seigneur de Marbé, of Mâcon and his descendants (family details from 1531-1635 on seven vellum endpapers and A1r); Cardiff Castle bookplate. Rare edition recorded by Bohatta 1019 with a copy in the Huth collection; not in Brunet or Lacombe.
