(Occasional small loss to paint, some leaves slightly soiled.) 19th-century red straight-grained morocco, covers with centre- and cornerpieces of small foliate tools with blind roll-tool border, spine in gilt and blind (scuffed), g.e. Provenance : N. Bernard, seigneur de Marbé, of Mâcon and his descendants (family details from 1531-1635 on seven vellum endpapers and A1r); Cardiff Castle bookplate. Rare edition recorded by Bohatta 1019 with a copy in the Huth collection; not in Brunet or Lacombe.
