Rare brochure describing, picturing, and diagramming the homes available in Fulford-by-the-Sea, now North Miami Beach after being renamed in 1931. Fulford was named after Captain W.H. Fulford, who settled in the area in 1881, acquiring a land patent of 160 acres. In 1912 Lafe Allen and Associates bought the Fulford property and adjacent land totaling 557 acres, for subdivision. The Fulford-by-the-Sea Company began selling lots in 1922. The years of 1924 to 1926 saw rapid expansion when Merle C. Tebbetts, president of the Florida Cities Finance Company, took over development. This booklet, published in 1924, is one of the first official promotional real estate publications of the growing city. “Some of these homes are already under constructions, and some of them will be built before this little book reaches your hands.” OCLC lists one copy, at the University of Miami, dated 1925.
