HISTORY. A collection of autograph letters and signatures comprising: FRIEDRICH WILHELM I (1688-1740), King of Prussia . Autograph endorsement signed ('F.W') on a memorandum addressed to him by cabinet minister von Kynphausen, Berlin, 20 December 1728, responding to a request from the widowed Markgräfin von Brandeburg Schwedt for a loan of 8000 Reichstalers to cover the costs of her election as Abbess of Herford that the loan is to be with interest, and her son must guarantee it, 'alles zu d. 5 Procent und der Printz Friderich muhs mit die obligaci unter schreiben sonst kein Dargang', 5 lines on a memorandum of 2½ pages, folio ; Mikhail Ilarionovich KUTUSOV, autograph note, concerning the peace treaty with Sweden, two pages, 4to , and document signed ('Golenishchev Kutuzov'), giving orders for movements of the Rybinsk and Tiumen troops, 1802, one page, folio ; and letters by Karl Wilhelm, Graf FINCK von Finckenstein (n.d., in French, reporting on events at the court of Frederick the Great, 'Pöllnitz est toujours auprès du Roi, mais pas tant en grace qu'on le croiroit, a causes des lachetés qu'il commet continuellement ...
