[Heraldry - Brabant] Genealogical chart of Frans II van Kinschot (d. 1700), member of the State Council and lord of Rivieren, Ganshoren, Jette, etc. 17th c In scroll (x cm), on parchment, with arms drawn with pen and heightened with colours and gold (tears and defects in right margin with a few part of text missing, some waterstains, soiled). This chart was certainly executed on the occasion of the wedding of Frans II van Kinschot, son of the Chancellor of Brabant Frans I van Kinschot (1577-1651), and Marie Gertrude Lanchals, Lady of Exaerde and member of a noble family from Bruges. Their arms were reproduced with their motto in the right margin and three cartouches were left blank to enter the names of the future children. The chart depicts the arms of family-members of Kinschot and Exaerde, from the common ancestor of the couple, Hendrik II van Schoten (d. ca. 1187), Baron of Breda. Marie Gertrude Lanchals died without issue and Frans II van Kinschot married a second time; his second wife being Angéline Hélène d'Oyenbrugge. Her name and arms were subsequently added. An "Indiculus probationum" mentioned some pieces used by the author of this chart (wills, marriage contracts, etc.). The arms of Valkenaer de Vlierden (author of this document?) were depicted in the right lower corner.
