HENDRICKS, BARKLEY L. (1945-2017) Troc [Burlesque Theatre], Philadelphia PA 1971, likely printed 1971. Gelatin silver print dry-mounted to card, 3 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches (97 x 158 mm), recto signed, titled, numbered 1 from the edition of two, and dated in pencil on mount (l.r.; l.l.). Print in fine condition, a few minor smudges to the mount of the signed work ; together with three other works, [Ford car with Confederate license plate], [Storefront with signs] and [Rizzo means business placard on car] , all gelatin silver prints dry-mounted to card, unsigned and unannotated, but on Hendricks's characteristic mounts, the largest 5 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches. About fine . Hendricks was a pupil of Walker Evans at Yale, during the time he was there getting his MFA. He referred to his camera as "his sketchpad." C
