The premiere was performed at the Opera Comique in Paris. Heilbron at the very early age of 34, & Jules Massenet (1842-1912) French Composer. Rare A.L.S., `Marie Heilbron´, two pages, 8vo, written to the first and third page, Paris, 71 Champs Elysées, n.d., in French. The letter bears a very attractive gilt embossed monogram to the heading, with her initials. Heilbron asks her correspondent to forward her message to Massenet, and referring to Manon, states `Veuillez prévenir Monsieur Massenet de mon retour et lui dire que je me mets à sa disposition pour travailler Manon..´ (''Please inform Mr. Massenet of my return and tell him that I am at his disposal to work on Manon..''). Together with an A.N.S., `J. Massenet´ one page, 12mo, being a telegram, Paris, n.d. `Thursday evening´, to Monsieur Leon Bessand, in French. Massenet sends a short and urgent message saying `Me voici de retour! Pouvez-vous me venir voir demain matin vendredi! Il m´est imposible de sortir - pardonnez-moi´ (''I'm back! Can you come and see me tomorrow morning Friday! It is impossible for me to go out - forgive me'') A set of two letters of excellent association.
