First edition, signed and inscribed by Hayek to Frank H. Knight one of the founders of the Chicago school of economics, with his ownership stamp to the front pastedown. 2. The Road to Serfdom. Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1984. Original full tan leather lettered and decorated in gilt. Fine. Limited edition, #150 of 200 copies, signed by Hayek on the limitation page. 3. Knight, Frank H. Risk, Uncertainty and Profit. Boston & New York: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1921. Original burgundy cloth, lettered in gilt. Very good condition. Hayek was an Austrian economist known for his promotion of liberal democracy and free-market capitalism. He received the Nobel Prize in Economic Science in 1974.
