Hanukkah lamp. Germany, late 19th or early 20th century. Silver (marked), cast, embossed and engraved. Plate decorated in floral motifs, topped by a Torah crown. In the center is a pair of lions holding the Tablets of the Law (with the Ten Commandments). A row of oil fonts shaped as lions. The head of each lion opens to pour in the oil, with a wick tube protruding from the lion's mouth. On the sides of the oil fonts are lions lying on elevated platforms. Font for the shamash and an oil jug, both removable. Length: 29 cm, width: 32 cm.
