Hanukkah lamp designed by Ludwig Yehuda Wolpert Israel, 1970s. Sawn, impressed and engraved brass. Signed: "Wolpert" (on the reverse). The lamp is mounted on a wooden board, for hanging on a wall. The oil fonts are placed in the palms of eight protruding lions. Six tall rods adorned with the inscription "Lecha Na'eh LeShabe'ach" (of the liturgical poem "Ma'oz Tzur Yehu'ati"); the Shamash is placed in the center. A small plaque with a dedication is attached to the wooden board indicating that the Hanukkah lamp was presented as a gift by the United Jewish Appeal in New -York in December 1978.
