Folio, 399 x 257 mm., old boards, slightly worn; a few plates just timmed. Berne, 1795. 46 engraved plates mostly after C.J. Rollin, numbered 1-52, but 28/29, 33/34, 35/36/37, 39/40 and 43/44 on the same leaf. A posthumous work, edited by J.C. Wyttenbach from material gathered by Haller for a new edition of his Historia Stirpium indigenarum Helvetiae. Nissen 775 (account is not quite the same, he may have seen a copy differently dissected); Stafleu & Cowan TL2 2317. Provenance : Joan. Nys. Giehl, signature on front pastdown -- Arpad Plesch, bookplate (sale, Sotheby's London, 17 November 1975, lot 316) -- Robert de Belder. .
