Elle côtoie ensuite en Grande-Bretagne de grands praticiens comme Bernard Leach Michael Cardew et Lucie Rie y crée un atelier avant de s'installer pour quelques années en France tout près de La Borne. À son retour en Australie, elle crée un atelier avec John Pigott puis un autre consacré à la porcelaine cuite au feu de bois. Sa production révèle différentes influences en plus de celles de ses maîtres, notamment l'importance des émaux des céramiques chinoises Song. Gwyn Hanssen Pigott confie aussi son inspiration du peintre de natures mortes Giorgio Morandi dans la conception par ensemble de ses pièces. Son implantation artistique mondiale est sans conteste avant sa mort en 2013. She then moved to Great Britain to collaborate with great practitioners such as Bernard Leach Michael Cardew and Lucie Rie and set up a studio there before moving to France for a few years near La Borne. On her return to Australia, she set up a studio with John Pigott and then another dedicated to wood-fired porcelain. Her work reveals various influences in addition to those of her masters, notably the importance of the glazes of Song Chinese ceramics. Gwyn Hanssen Pigott also credits the still life painter Giorgio Morandi with inspiring the overall design of her pieces. Her worldwide artistic establishment is undisputed before her death in 2013.
